PhyZual - 0002 Lynda Part One

This begins what will be the essence of my podcast. Extended discussions with individuals about life, how PhyZual is the end of one path and the beginning of a new, and what questions can come from answers. Already recorded, and continuing to be recorded, are several discussions with exceptional individuals. Listen while with each podcast and each individual comes new insight, different choices, fresh ideas, and a healthy safe place to get out whatever is on the mind. Each will last between fifteen minutes and a half hour.

Attempting to produce a podcast that was strictly monologue was limiting the content and flow of what I was actually trying to capture in it’s recording. No more then I put the thought out for help, the phone rang. What followed was exactly the blessing I’d asked for. . .Lynda’s laugh. Lynda is a woman I was fortunate to meet while recently employed as a trainer at a software company, her soulshine was exactly what I needed to get these podcast flying. Her accent and charm resonate with clarity throughout our discussion.

We break out with a topic on everyone’s mind, money. Even in this first segment of the conversation we drill down into some particulars and details of how one’s belief about money and feelings toward money are keeping prosperity at arms length. What questions will this segment leave you asking yourself?

Please leave your comments and feedback, it is appreciated, please don’t feel you have to agree with us. Although we gladly accept compliments and flattery.

Thank you for your time.

May you be happy.
May you be peaceful.
May you be free.

Awesome! I think we really brought up a lot of good points. Stepping back and taking the role of a listener was very interesting. I picked up more now than I did even while I was participating in the conversation. I am excited to be a part of such a WONDERFUL project.

I like how you start with clearing your throat, very original. And the rain in the background at the end is a nice touch, although for people who don’t live in Phx and don’t know we were blessed with rain last weekend it might sound as if someone is showering in the background - also would be a lovely touch :-)
As far as the content, I see the value of it, but I also think it’s hard for an average Joe to buy into this idea and instead of panicking and taking any job that comes along, to pursue something s/he feels passionate about and believe that the “necessities will come later.” Takes a special kind of person. Looking forward to the next post.

Yes, this is a good opening with clearing of the throat. To me it sounds like wiping the slate clean and starting new. I listened to this one first but I am now making time at ‘work’ to make a comment. So on the the podcast, I feel like paying the rent is a no brainer. Either you want a place to sleep or you don’t. If you don’t you are either living in a car, outside, or getting someone else to pay for it. Then from there you have to decide which is more important and the basic needs are usually food & clothing. Now you move to the wants vs the needs. Do you really need it or just want it? Usually with something we really like we say we need it when we really just want it. I am plenty guilty there. Then there is time. Time is money. Do we spend more hours at work so our checks are fatter or do we spend our free time at the bar socializing when otherwise we couldn’t? Time is money because you might have emptied your wallet at the bar or you might have made some extra at work. Then you say to yourself ‘Do I work overtime that is taxed more to end up with less at the end of the pay period or just keep working till it comes out to be more?’ I agree with the podcast that hard work is a subjective term to everyone. But there are costs and rewards inside and out. But I doubt I will meet anyone who can just do the minimums and come out ahead. Again, do you really want it or need it? Thanks and good on ya!

I think the key here is how one defines the term “work”. Or maybe it’s the attitude of the person working. All I know is that once you hone in on what really motivates you, whether it be the money or the stability or the passion for what you do that will eventually bring you the money, that is when you will know what type of “work” you need to be doing. I truly believe that if you’re passionate about what you do and can just let yourself lean into the wind a little bit, then good things will continue to happen.
