PhyZual 0007 - Jody Gnant Part One
In this existence I will have the fortune of spending time with many indivduals who will preoccupy my mind with the things they have to say, and capture my heart with the conviction in which they say it. One of those indivduals is Jody Gnant. Not only has she captured my attention, she has inspired my spirit.
Jody Gnant graces the podcast with an interview and samples from her album Pivot. Jody’s story is that of an artist working toward an end goal of “. . .making it in the music industry. . .” but she doesn’t stop there. I really enjoyed this podcast. Interesting dialog from two interesting people. Jody’s music mixed in was a great touch…your years as a DJ did well for you, my friend.
A good interview with a deturmined to be successful and happy singer. Success and how to get there keeps coming up in the podcasts and I have heard the best way to get there is to always listen to those who are doing better than you, especially if they are where you want to be. Another good note on the interview is that Jody does not have another job. How could you be focused enough if you had to work 2 or 3 or perhaps 4 jobs? Not as well obviously. I remember an 80’s hair band (that will go unmentioned) who’s singer said he did not want anyone who had a job because that would take away from the whole focus to the band’s goal of getting signed and having mass success. And eventually the band was very successful and left the big music scene when the Seattle bands took over.
Hope to see more success stories like this in the future. Very uplifting and entertaining for us in the midwest!

Its was great to hear about someone who is an artist, that is not “starving” in all senses of the word. Great music too.
This served to open me a bit to not be so bound up by life, that I can’t listen to guidence.
